About Max Energic Apps
The publisher of Max IEC Gateway
Who we are
Max IEC Gateway is made and sold by Max Energic Apps (also written Maxenergic), a publisher of software tools for engineers. Our main website is maxenergic.com; this site, iec.maxenergic.com, is dedicated to Max IEC Gateway. Our Modbus testing and simulation tool, ModbusBB, has its own site.
The engineer behind Max IEC Gateway
Mohammad Ba’ra — Electrical Engineer, SCADA/SAS Specialist and Max IEC Gateway Developer
Mohammad Ba’ra is an electrical engineer specializing in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Substation Automation Systems (SAS), and industrial communications. He is the CEO of Blue Breeze Renewable Energy Systems LLC and develops Max IEC Gateway and ModbusBB under Max Energic Apps.
His work spans renewable-energy plants, substations, and industrial automation, including system integration, commissioning, technical specification reviews, and Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT). His technical experience includes Modbus communications, IEC 61850, plant power controllers, metering systems, protection and control, and operational technology networks.
Built around practical engineering work
Max IEC Gateway brings that background into a tool for a common integration job: bringing Modbus field devices into an IEC 60870-5-104 or IEC 60870-5-101 SCADA system. It covers the everyday tasks of that work: mapping registers to IEC type IDs and addresses, scaling values, handling commands and quality, and seeing exactly what is exchanged while a site is commissioned.
The aim is straightforward: give engineers and integrators a clear, dependable way to connect Modbus equipment to telecontrol systems.
What Max IEC Gateway is
Max IEC Gateway is gateway software for Windows and Linux that polls Modbus TCP and RTU devices and serves their values as an IEC 60870-5-104 server and/or IEC 60870-5-101 outstation, writes IEC commands back to Modbus, and is configured in a web browser. See the features, the IEC 104 guides and the download page for the free 30-day trial.
