Installation Guide

Get up and running in minutes

Download & Extract

Download the installer and extract to your preferred location (e.g., C:\MaxIECGateway).

Run the Gateway

Double-click MaxIEC.Gateway.exe to start the service. The web interface will be available on port 5000.

Open Web Interface

Open http://localhost:5000 in your browser to access the configuration interface.

Configure Devices

Add your Modbus devices and configure point mappings. The gateway will start polling immediately.

Connect SCADA

Connect your IEC 60870-5-104 or 101 master to the gateway. Data flows automatically.

License Activation

After purchasing a license, you'll receive a license key via email. To activate:

  1. Open the web interface and navigate to the License page
  2. Enter your license key and click Activate
  3. The license binds to your hardware (up to 3 devices per license)
  4. Internet connection required for initial activation only

Frequently Asked Questions

After 30 days, the trial expires and the gateway will stop functioning. You can purchase a license at any time to continue using the software with no restrictions.

During the trial, each session is limited to 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, you'll need to restart the application. This allows you to fully test the software while encouraging a license purchase for production use.

Yes, each license allows activation on up to 3 devices. This is ideal for development, testing, and production environments. Contact support if you need additional activations.

Internet is only required for initial license activation and periodic verification (every 30 days). The gateway can run offline for up to 30 days before requiring re-verification.

You can use NSSM (Non-Sucking Service Manager) or Windows Task Scheduler to run the gateway at startup. See the documentation for detailed instructions.
